Blog Break and Beijing Bag Lady

This had been a very busy day for me, so I'm going to take a break from writing about China for a day or two. My story about our travels are starting to get really exciting and I'm really not up to writing tonight. So much happened in China in the next two days that I want to be sure and report it accurately.
I spent the entire day today at the Gallery Studio painting, so I had a very productive day but am not up to writing much. My fingers and brain are tired. However ... I really like my latest painting. I call it Beijing Bag Lady . This particular painting was Frank's idea. Since I'm working on a China series, he suggested that I paint one of the photographs of some of the people that we had seen on the street in Beijing. He really liked this particular photograph, so I thought I'd give it a try. Here is what I worked from.
It was a bit of a challenge, but I think that it will fit in with the other two paintings that I have done from some of the photographs that I took on our trip.
I promise that more of my China travels will be on this page in a day or two, but every now and again I need to take a break from one of the things I love to do the most ... tell stories. The easel was calling and I just had to answer so I could paint with my friends in CbC. I've missed that!!!
